| Probably the most well known studio in Hong Kong cinema. The Shaw Brothers studio had its prime from the 50's to the 70's, thanks to some superstars like David Chiang, Ti Lung, Jimmy Wang Yu. Its very impressive filmography includes many kung-fu and sword movies, but also comedies, dramas, musicals, and others. The studio almost disappeared in the 80's, and begun to produce movies again only in the 2000's. |
